Scenic Construction and finishing-
Small movable Heart Arches-building and decorating
3 inch x 1inch softwood cut using a band saw
Programming/ preparing cuts on the CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Miller
Using the CNC Miller to cut out the Arch pieces on spruce plywood
Assembling the frame using PVA Glue and screws
Cladding the inside and outside of the Arch using 6mm plywood and 6mm flexible plywood which was glued using PVA Glue and stapled using a staple gun. Later the excess wood was removed using a router
Assembling trucks to move the hearts made out of 18mm spruce plywood
Assembling supports for the castor wheels using 18mm birch plywood and 3x1 softwood
Assembling the lid of the truck. The main structure was 18mm spruce plywood held together by 3x1 softwood so that the Arch could be slotted inside the gap.
Cutting carpet to cover the top of the truck using a craft knife. It was then stapled to the top of the truck
Arch and truck were painted using red emulsion paint
Fixing brakes to the back of the truck
Spraying arches/roses to prevent catching fire
Time-lapse of sticking on foam roses using hot glue
